Irene Ongkowidjoyo was the fourth – out of five – student that approached me to help for her end of year project. Just between you and me, out of the five, it’s the one that had me the most excited with a Illuminati centered theme.

All the clothes keep a fairly dark colours and are more wintery, which in a sense works quite well (in my head at least) with the undergoing theme of the underground, the secret society – maybe I’m too old and keep remembering the big red threat and the KGB. But most exciting of all was the location, we shot at the old slaughter house of Shanghai. The architecture is absolutely gorgeous (and spooky) with cold cement everywhere and passage ways going around like an Escher drawing.
