Someone once asked me which photographers I inspire myself most from… and though it’s truly not visible through most of my photos Helmut Newton, Guy Bourdin and David Lachapelle would be among my top three. Their fascination with women and how to empower them in photography has always taken me.
This shoot is a bit of a tribute to Bourdin, and my own, obsession and love with high heel shoes on beautiful women. It’s not a side of my photography that I explore to often, but the experience was truly liberating. And I must admit that I’m quite pleased with the results, as I was aiming for an artistic fashion still life.
