I created this image for an online contest at DPChallenge. The theme was the ‘Bokeh Effect’. It’s ‘special effect’ in photography where the object in the foreground is in focus and the background is totally out of focus.
Usually this is obtain naturally where the object you focus on is far away from the background allowing the background to be blurry. But, in this case I bent the rules a little bit by introducing a magnifying glass glass. I’ve always enjoyed bending the rules, but I admit my entry stirred quite a bit of debate… which is good, no?
